 Help For Refugees

Over a million refugees from Syria, Iraq and Yemen continue to live in Jordan.

About 85% of them must find and rent their own accommodation, with only 15% living in camps. Most live in Amman and many are still in desperate need.

Donations

Your donations go a long way. YOU can make a difference!  Join us in helping to change lives for the better and create a sustainable future for all!

What We Have Been Up To In Jordan

Through our partners, Refuge Cities Network, we help to provide basic essentials, like food, clothing and heating, as well as friendship and family support.  A mobile medical clinic in Amman provides primary health care, often making use of the skills of refugees who are themselves, medical professionals.

Language, IT and craft skills are taught at a new centre close to where refugees live in Amman.  This helps to restore dignity and a sense of self-worth, enabling refugees better to provide for themselves and their families and giving them hope.

Jamal Hasheh, (GHIA Director of the Middle East) and his team- Refugee Cities Network have worked in Jordon and the Middle East for 17 years. Over these years they have helped with the following projects...

  • Providing food for the refugee families
  • Visiting and supporting refugee families
  • Providing free medical care for the poor and the refugees
  • Woman's empowerment- small business training and sewing classes
  • Children's education classes
  • English as a second language classes
  • Welcoming international teams to Jordon
  • Providing customised disability aids
  • Wheelchairs provided for the disabled
  • Goat loan project, Providing small business set up within communities
  • Community Centre in East Amman
